Blackberry Bold

I hate you!

Man in the Glass

"When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.

For it isn't your father or mother or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass.
The fellow whose verdict counts most in you life
Is the one staring back from the glass.

You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum
And think you're a wonderful guy.
But the man in the glass says you're only a bum
If you can't look him straight in the eye.

He's the fellow to please-never mind all the rest,
For he's with you clear to the end.
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the man in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass.
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you've cheated the man in the glass."

Everyone should have this poem on their washroom wall.

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes, saying Ayo!!

Or like how my coworker likes to sing "I put my hands behind my back sometimes I'm Steven Dao I go to jail" lmfao. This song has created some of the funniest one liners at work. Thanks Tiao Cruz!

Thompson River Opening?

The beautiful, wild, and raging Thompson River is the place to be when you want to fish for the most exciting, action packing, line stripping steelhead trout. But, will the Thompson open this year??
My fingers and toes are crossed for the release date from DFO (Department of Fisheries). Last year, exactly Nov. 7 I fished this river for the first time in my 15yrs of experience and all I have to say is MAGNIFICENT! About the same time this year I'm at home writing a blog on it. Located in the interior about 4 hours east of Vancouver this river packs a punch with great scenery and 15lbs+ steelhead trout. Take the drive up there and you will see what I am talking about.  This river is strictly a catch and release so I don't understand why it's closed when stocks are either the same if not more. What is DFO doing?? It's obviously a money maker. People pay up to $95 to fish this river system so I really don't see why they shouldn't. Make up your minds DFO.
